Challenge: Improve Your Diet!

What can you do to improve your diet for a few days?  Can you eat the recommended daily intake for fruits and vegetables? Can you replace juice or soda with water?  Can you try to balance your plate and eat proper portion size?  Reflect on what you did to improve your overall diet. How did it make you feel?  Why is it important to have a healthy diet?

    Brody- Eating meat (chicken) for protein.
    Varnika- Eating my carrots at lunch.

We really like that Ian knows that corn syrup and red dye is really not that good for us and that Maureen knows that exercise is important when you are trying to be healthy.   2. Cottonwood Creek (K3, Mrs. Harris' Class)... we talked about being healthy, after reading a book it grew into more than just diet! : ) ) We look forward to completing some of your other challenges as well!
    Jocelyn- Eat oranges, drink milk, and eat healthy.
    Luke- Go Running.
    Sofia- Eat salads.
    Yuri- Eat bananas.
    Mason- I brush my teeth so I don't get cavities.
    Rohit- I eat my fruits.
    Carlton- Jogging and excersising,

    Sarah- Eating lots of healthy foods.
    Tiam-I brush my teeth 5 times a day!
    Olivia- I eat my strawberries and carrots.
    Maya-I brush my teeth 10 times a day.
    Sofia- I'm a vegetarian.
    Aliyah- I like to go running.
    Brooks- I like to sports for excersise.
    Deepika- I like excersising.

  5. We would like to try these ideas!
    Yellow Table: Drink more drinks with protein like milk, smoothie, milkshakes
    Blue Table: Bring healthy snacks to lunch like apples, broccoli, tomatoes, bananas
    Green Table: Get active by doing things like playing sports, walking to school and running
    Red Table: Don't eat too much junk food. Junk food examples: pizza, chips, ice cream, candy

My brothers Cash 9, and Jett 7, walk to Pinkerton either in the mornings or after school when they are coming home everyday and I look forward to picking them up.   25. It is important to eat more baked foods than fried foods. As a side you can eat more fruits, vegetables and nuts than sugary foods like pastry, ice cream and candy. Also, you should drink more water during the day than sugary drinks. When you change these things your body has more energy and you feel better.
