Challenge: Brain Health

How can you take care of your brain?  What are you doing already?  Do certain foods help your brain work better??   What else can you do to make your brain healthier?

  1. We loved learning about our brains today! We learned it controls your whole body and you can take care of it by sleeping, exercising, eating healthy foods, and challenging it with puzzles and games. We are already exercising, learning at school, thinking by answering questions, sleeping, and eating "green" vegetables. Some foods help your brain more than others, you shouldn't eat junk food like cake, ice cream, chips, and candy and should eat more food like fruit, vegetables, grains, and cheese. We also learned that there are three main parts of your brain that have different "jobs". The skull protects the brain. The brain also controls your five senses: hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, and smelling. We can't wait to learn more tomorrow!
